One Five Minute Exercise To Level Up Your Practice

Level Up Your Practice

In the coming weeks, I’m going to be posting some steps that will walk you through getting to the next level of private practice. These articles are for people that are already established in practice and want to get to the next level. So, if you’re grossing at least $40k, you’re in the right place. If you’re making six-figures, you’re definitely in the right place!

If you are in the beginning stages of planning or starting a private practice, I have a different training for you that will be even more helpful. So, if you’re new, get started with my 28-step checklist.

Over the next couple of weeks, we’ll be looking at optimizing the low-hanging fruit of your practice, multiplying your time and money, as well as the on-going strategies for leveling up your practice.

Before we get to all of that, though, I want you to know a little bit about private practices in your area. It’s really important to understand what others are doing well (and not so well) in your region. Every market is different, which is why I want you to do a little snooping.

Here’s The Exercise

This exercise will literally take less than five minutes:

  1. Go to Google and type in [your city] + counseling
  2. Ignore the ads and the Google Maps, and look at the top three practices that come up.Also ignore directory sites like Psychology Today and Yelp.
  3. Look at each of the top three sites. What is good, bad, and ugly? Is their phone number clear? Is it approachable? What do you like?

Here’s A Video

Here’s a short video to walk you through it:
