[INTRODUCTION]
Joe Sanok: Well, I am Joe Sanok, your host and I just want to thank all of you for being amazing. I know that many of you are celebrating thanksgiving today and I wanted to just say how thankful I am for you, for this amazing audience, and that, you know, you guys are making some killer progress. I was at the Alabama Counseling Association. I did got to do their opening keynote and they had over 1000 people there. And got to talk to so many of you. One lady I was chatting with, she is now a 6-figure practice within about a year and half of opening, and it’s just incredible to see what from just listening of the podcast, implementing things from the email list, she has been able to do without giving me a dime, and a lot of people say, well, why did you give it away. Why do you give the stuff away. And of course part of it is the business model, that I know that there is going to be a certain percentage of people that pay for consulting or Mastermind group or for some of our products, and luckily there is enough people that pay for that, that pays for all my time that I create stuff for people that aren’t paying anything, and that’s totally fine. And this is not a sales pitch as much you know that. But every day I walk into my office, I am just so excited to do the work that I do and I am excited to see all of you starting to go after your passions and your gifts and things that really bring you life.

[A STORY YOU WOULD LOVE TO KNOW ABOUT]
I was recently just out in Colorado with my friend Paul and we were at this little diner in Boulder. We had had – like the place we were going to go, it was called the Buff which had some pretty cool breakfast things that we had already been to, was full, like tons of people there. We went over to this other small diner that all the locals go to cheap food, it just hasn’t changed since the 60s. And this guy, he is behind the counter, and you would think that he would be super overwhelmed. It was probably like 25, like college student-ish, maybe post college. But he gave each person so much individual attention. It was really amazing to see. And he would ask about people’s families, how things were going.

Then there was this moment where someone said as he was pouring water, well, that’s not the best part of your job. And it was like the world froze. He looked at this person as he was about to pour water and he said, actually pouring water is one of the best things I get to do every single day because I think people are so dehydrated. They are walking around dehydrated and the fact that they want more water, I am so excited to give them more water. And then he walked away. I’m like, oh my gosh, like this guy is present. He has found a way to really find meaning in what most people would say is just pouring people’s water. And he has a genuine heart of thankfulness. And I just said, that’s so cool. I can’t wait to tell the Practice of the Practice audience about that.

[THE NOMINATION AND THE REQUEST]
Well, one thing I also wanted to tell you about is while I was in Colorado, I got to swing by Brighter Vision and their main headquarters there in Colorado, just east of Boulder. It was really cool thing to actually be there and meet the whole team. One thing that Perry and I discussed during our Facebook live we were doing is they are launching their 2017 Best of Awards. So they have all these different categories of, you know, the best electronic medical records, the best kind of virtual platforms, best directories. We have actually been nominated in four different categories. We are nominated as best podcast, nominated as best blog. We are also nominated as best consultant and best conference for Slow Down School, which is totally killer. It’s just amazing that we are nominated in four different areas.

We would love for you to go vote for us. And I say “us” because we really are a growing team. We have Alison Pidgeon who is doing tons of consulting for people that are adding clinicians to their practice, that are growing a group practice and that also are adding insurance to their practice that can be a part of the model too. We have Samantha in South Africa. She is full-time, our chief marketing officer. And she is making crazy amount of content to help all of you, doing videos, doing all sorts of stuff. And then we have Emily, our director of details, who just keeps it all together. She is the glue, and I am sure that in 2018 we will be adding more people to the team. But this team has really sought to launch some cool and fun things for all of you.

Well, we would love for you to vote for us. If you head on over to www.practiceofthepractice.com/voteforjoe. I guess they should have said like vote for practice of the practice or something like that since it’s more than just me. But that just seemed like a quick way to do it – for I would use forward slash vote for something else. So www.practiceofthepractice.com/voteforjoe and that will redirect you over to Brighter Vision, and you can go through and you don’t have to be a Brighter Vision client, and you can vote for us. We would love that. We just hope to win. Well, I mean there is tons of people that have been nominated. We would love to win all four categories, but some of our good friends have also been nominated. People like Gordon Brewer, Allison Puryear, [Unclear 00:05:43.29]. I know there’s others there. But those are the ones that really stand out that are doing amazing work in the field too that we just love that we’re friends with. So it’s really just a friendly competition.

So again, www.practiceofthepractice.com/voteforjoe – we would love your vote and if you think we can do things better and you give your vote to somebody else, let’s know why. We would love to know how we can improve things.

[CONCLUSION]
Thanks so much for letting me into your ears and into your brain. If you are in the States, have a great thanksgiving, if you are outside of the States have a great Thursday. See you!
