[0:50] Music.

[1:02] We are talking all about environment and by.

[1:07] These two terms their environment and vibe because to me environment is sort of the.
The office setting but you have the decor that you have the environment of like your website.
They can not sing bolts like colors of paint colors of coaches are working the wall and then via the.

[1:30] Is kinda how people feel when they see your brand the vibe you get when you’re on practice of the practice do you feel like its organized do you feel like.
It’s hip do you feel like working cutting edge that’s my hope.
Hope he feels like we are consultants for a new generation of counselors for all the things that are happening in the world that we could actually do way better,
as counselors by having better websites and better branding the it’s the vibe the field the new lots.
And so when we look at our branding and look at our environment we look at all of that gives off a certain vibe so today we’re gonna be talking about.
Social media and how to give off a vibe that matches your idea client we’re gonna talk about especially facebook live how you can use that to build your environment and vibe with what instagram.
Can vote in and we’re gonna talk a little bit about using a different things on your phone that is going to help you.
Build your environment and five c ready i hope you are,
this is an amazing it’s been so fun to dive into how to attract ideal clients if you missed any of the episode let me just take you through what we’ve covered episode one.
It was called vent and spokes we’re talking about your are you client who the vent to and the spokes are coming off of them.
In regards to people that they are connected to you and so fine in those referrals are sources second we secondly we go into networking.

[3:06] And the media is how do you networking away that’s authentic to you doesn’t feel like you’re working the room but instead of that it’s authentic to you and how do you connect with local media to get free advertising radio.
Newspaper and tv.
Thirty tundra how to set your rates and i give you a few clear formulas and the three of how to set your rates and work backwards from your goal,
and yesterday we talked all about exactly the script that i use for out of network benefits what do i say and what i have my intake coordinator say,
when someone says you take my insurance we talk very differently than the average practice that just says no we don’t take insurance will cover for you to.
No we talk different that in yesterday’s episode was all about that.
So you haven’t cover those go back and if you haven’t on the web in our please head on over to www.practiceofthepractice.com/idealclient,
it’s a half hour webinar that’s gonna take you through some of the details and nuances that we have it covered here on the podcast around attracting your ideal client you’re gonna love is gonna be so awesome to help you get the type of people,
in your practice to get your ideal clients attracted to your practice to build the ideal practice right so environment and vibe.
A couple of years ago i moved into my new office here in downtown traverse city in the radius center to building before that i had sublet a space that i paid as a percentage of income.
And the old space had a couch that can look like a picnic the floral pattern.

[4:41] And brass lamps and had pictures of lighthouses.
And it was great for that condition that the person loved in matched who they were and who they served.
But for me it didn’t.
So we’re looking at new office i really have an idea of what i wanted to feel like i wanted it to right away feel like this is counseling for our generation of.
On people that are raising kids that are in their twenties or thirties or forties not the people that are beyond that wouldn’t feel comfortable but it would really feel like this is a fresh look like there are cool things going on here.

[5:20] So i was really on the on the lookout for things that would give that feeling and so even the calendar that i choose i get your paper source so last year two thousand sixteen i had one that was characters chalk board one,
this year i have one has is interesting quotes on it,
if i’m at paper source we don’t have those in traverse city if i’m in a big city like i’ll get little fun notepads or get these little books that are in our lobby that’s a husbands guide to marriage it’s from like.
Nineteen sixteen or something we have some ikea furniture here so like some nice lamps but then we also have quality coaches that look and hip be seeing my facebook live you’ll see that.

[6:01] Behind me i have three have chalk board pictures of three different things that for me represent just different aspects of my life so one of them is a typewriter and so for me that,
that really kicking next with effort the original patent of it can about the chalk board print.
And so for me that captures can i contact my art things i really enjoy next to it is the home of a sailboat in so that’s like the outdoors the ceiling side for me.

[6:31] And then the other one was of phone calls coming in while i’m on this island claiming that sorry again.
I need to just renewed my computer when doing podcasting and then the other one is photography and so i love ca are in that way in so for me.
Having things in the office that feel fresh says a certain environment that then matches the branding that we do through mental illness counseling in the toilet that we have and how we approach consonants approachable.
It’s hip it’s fine it’s outcome based where we get happier our website looks like instagram rather than some like depressing like someone just died website.
So starting with just the physical characteristics of environment and then moving into other sites of social media.

[7:18] So we really work hard to give quality information to give out articles that people want that are based on what kind of where i do play is.
And so if you are creating content a regular basis me of your facebook page.
Your going huffington post and going to the lifestyle section and you schedule out a whole bunch of different things i can i can you something what me and your.

[7:41] That then creates a certain vibe that you give off as well.
You’re having your logo be water marked and some of the things you put out there that as a certain level of professionalism having quotes that famous people have said that has your watermark on it that’s really a great way to get extra exposure.
The thing also i’ve been doing a ton of lily’s facebook lives.
Facebook lives probably one of the single best uses of your time right now so the way it works is your computer out for you pull facebook you got your status update,
and if you could go live its like a live you are live and people can interact with you can talk about specific things you may have three things to know in regards to parenting or five things to know about depression or,
deal savings time just came to maybe talk about sleep.

[8:33] So what’s great about it though is when you do a video through your facebook page facebook only shows that the five to ten percent of the people that have liked your page the rest have to pay for.
When you post a video on your personal page the people that have liked and commented most recently or that you become friends with most recently and the ones that see it everyone else doesn’t really even now.
And then when you go live a hundred percent of the people that you’re connected to on facebook get a notification that you gone live.

[9:05] I said testing this about six weeks ago.
And it is amazing the amount of people that said i saw you alive the other day oh my gosh that was so great when you are on the radio in your live also sounded really good.
It’s a great way to get that extra exposure to people that normally wouldn’t even know about your business so that when they have a friend that says you know what like they’re getting divorced and,
they really need to talk to someone if they are ideal client the reach out to you and even if they’re not they’ll reach out to you because of the hair i don’t know anyone to reach out to who should i reach out to.

[9:38] Next instagram is a really great social platform if you’re focusing on people twenty well i’m even teenagers but they’re on their but i was ceo twenty-somethings thirty somethings instagram’s really blown up.
Having quality pictures really looking at the o do that a regular basis is a good way to attract that i do clamp.
And then lastly.
How do you do all this how do you make things look pretty on-line with there’s a free resource that i recommend called canvas ca nv eighty,
and you can put text over pictures there you can make info graphics if you’re not ready to outsource that liked my designer sam,
i’m cfc outsources if you don’t want to do this stuff her information that practiceofthepractice.com/blog-images.
You can find out more about outsourcing to her but if you wanna do it yourself you can go to canada and create it’s amazing i did that for the longest time to make really beautiful graphics for your website that match i apply to have a certain vibe to it.
And then you wanna make sure you using pictures that you can legally use so the website on splash you and ask pl a s h has tons of free images that you can use for anything,
you will get in trouble for using a don’t going to images just search for things.
So in doing all of the small steps and it sounds like so much you five days in a row you considered hundred content.

[11:05] Make sure that you just take small steps so for your might be due to facebook lives a week i’m just start doing that a little bit more.
That may be next step i did not build practice the practice overnight i did not build two hundred seventeen episodes overnight was slow and steady refining my old web site for mental illness causing was terrible.
And same practice to practice you just slowly cancer with the next reasonable stop that i can achieve.
Set that time aside to work on your practice instead of just in your practice and you will start to attract your ideal client.
Thanks so much for let me into yours and into your brain over the last five days again that webinar is over a www.practiceofthepractice.com/idealclient,
it’s totally free to have our weapon are all about attracting your ideal client gonna bring it all together from the series would love to have you head over there and connect,
also if you’re looking to apply for a strategy session with me go ahead and go over to practice and the practice account for slash strategy to a.
Would love to talk with you and figure out how to help growing help you grow and scale your practice have a great week talk to soon.
