Viewing life from a place of scarcity

People who identify as achievers often want to move on to the very next thing and don’t pause to celebrate. After Killin’It Camp in 2020, I bought myself a jacket as a thank you gift to myself. It’s now one of those jackets that have some meaning to it.

I don’t often give myself permission to celebrate or to buy myself nice things because that’s just been my own work on viewing life from a place of lack and scarcity rather than a place of abundance. I’ve now moved from that in so many different ways. (Joe Sanok)

I think it’s so important for us to celebrate, whether it’s religious tradition or American traditions, celebrations are so important.

What is your next milestone?

As you look into 2022, think about what your next milestone is. What is one thing, that if you achieved it in the next year, could change everything?

I just want to give you permission, during this holiday season, to think ahead to next year and say ‘what do I want to achieve and how am I going to celebrate the wins of this year, and then how do I celebrate the wins in the future. (Joe Sanok)
