How to grow a private practice

Michelle focused on her SEO by writing weekly blogs to ensure that she was continuously improving her ranking within Google.

In addition to this, she became hyper-focused and niched down on her market as well as her training.

Not only did I niche in my marketing, but I also niched in my training and getting highly experienced. (Michelle Puster)

Overcoming the fear that settles in when raising your rates

It’s very easy to look at other people and think that they have something special that we don’t have, therefore they can raise their rates and have regular increases which their clients are willing to pay. We think that they must have all the confidence in the world, but the truth is that we all experience fear.

With every rate change, a lot of fear and doubt settle in, but it is imperative that you work through that fear and acknowledge it, then act on your decision.

There are all sorts of impostor syndrome that comes in, so you don’t really escape that, but you learn to sit with it and deconstruct it in your head and ask how valid it is. (Joe Sanok)

Grow a specialty, grow an audience then grow an income

When taking on a passion project you have to start with looking at what you enjoy, so that you know you are creating good content for people. Then if an audience develops from that you can figure out which products or services they are interested in, which you can then create.

Compassionate Heart Parenting

As Michelle raised her kids, she began to learn more about attachment, positive parenting and being a more connected parent. She also discovered that implementing all these amazing strategies is not as easy as it seems. This is when she started her second passion project, Compassionate Heart Parenting.

As parents we have these expectations that we’re going to get it right all the time, that we know the right things to do and when we don’t, we can beat ourselves up so badly. (Michelle Puster)

It’s so easy to be isolated in our parenting experience but we have to realize that all parents and all kids go through this, it’s normal.
