I am going to give you 3 steps to create your monthly marketing plan that you can use every single month.
1. A/B Test
An A/B test is where you have two different things that you’re running at the same time. This may be that you’re putting $100 into Facebook ads and $100 Google ads. Or you may run two Facebook ads against each other to see which one is most optimized.
It important that you know your conversion rates and ROI. It’s important for you to know those numbers to make sure that those A/B tests are working.
You might run an ad in one local magazine and another ad in a different local magazine with different promo codes so that you can track who is actually converting from those ads.
2. Research what to do, design it and implement it
Sketch out when you’re going to do it, create a content calendar so that you’re getting all of that marketing out there on time and that you’re leveraging the speed in which you can go. Because you’re a small business, those larger businesses can’t move as fast as you, so make sure you’re moving quickly and getting things done.
3. Figure out how you’re evaluating
How are you evaluating what is working in this marketing system? Week by week, what numbers are you looking at? What is your front desk person that’s answering the phone saying? How are you tracking success? The biggest thing that people overlook in their marketing plan is having some way of tracking success. Finding out how people heard about you – did you watch our Facebook video, did you use promo code… Those are all things that will allow you to be able to know what’s working and what’s not.
