1. Specify a meta description on every page of your website
This is what will show up under the name of your page on the search engine page of results. If you don’t specify a meta description the search engine will randomly choose sentences from somewhere on your page that may not accurately describe what’s on your page. Try to accurately summarize in 160 characters what the page is about. Also, do so by using a few keywords that you’ve identified that your ideal clients are searching for.
2. Add internal links throughout your website
This is a link from one page of your site to another page within the same site. It encourages people to stay on your website longer and also encourages search engines to move through the pages on your website.
3. Build backlinks to your website
This means that you get other websites to essentially vote for your website. When someone links their website to yours, it’s like telling search engines that they trust your website. Make sure that you get quality backlinks, get trustworthy websites that already have good SEO, to link back to your site.
