Why Most Practices Can't Level Up

Last week, I spoke all about how to understand the competition. Did you do the quick five minute exercise?

Where We’re Headed

In the coming articles, I am going to walk you through how to create a “Next Level Practice.” After interviewing and researching what top practice owners do, I’ve discovered there are three main steps they take. We’ll be discussing these in three big chunks.

Part 1 | The Low-Hanging Fruit

Determining your lifestyle goals, looking at the numbers of money/time/investment, and the one mindset change that six-figure practice owners made (and how you can too!).

Part 2 | Multiplying Your Time and Money

How to use assistants to grow faster, adding clinicians to your practice, and how to stay focused on the big goals.

Part 3 | The Systems to Get to the Next Level

The seven-part blueprint for setting/achieving/outsourcing (almost) everything, why you’re thinking too small and how to go big, and the big difference between six-figure and multi-six-figure practices.

Part 1 | The Low-Hanging Fruit

Now that you know where we are headed, let’s dive into Part 1 | Low-Hanging Fruit. Most practice owners think some or all of these things:

  • If my website is good enough, I can stop marketing.
  • I’m making enough money, so I can be on cruise control.
  • I can’t charge 2-3x the going rate, especially if I am private pay.

Imagine if you had your ideal clients coming, you were getting paid more than you ever anticipated, and they were more than happy to pay it! What if you had practitioners working so hard that you could go on vacation and still make money. Imagine if you had such extreme focus that you got more done, in a shorter period of time, so you could enjoy time with your family or friends.

That’s where we’re headed! So, let’s get you to the next level.

ACTION: If you’ve tried all kinds of other blogs, podcasts, or programs and none of them worked, then I’ve got something I think you’re going to be really interested in. Listen to this podcast interview with Dr. Mark Mayfield, who launched a new practice within 18 months, had over 18 clinicians, and became a multi-six figure practice owner in less than two years!

In the next post, I’m going to show you exactly how to determine the lifestyle you want and then how to fit your business into that lifestyle.
